2. Overview

This website uses no analytics, no advertising trackers and no social media embeds. Fonts and images are served from our own hosting. We set a single, strictly necessary cookie for access protection.

3. Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit, Vercel processes on our behalf: IP address, date and time, requested page, amount of data, browser and operating system, referring page. Purpose: delivery, stability and security of the website. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place. Transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision and, additionally, standard contractual clauses.

4. Cookies and access protection

While the website is password protected, we set the cookie uac_gate after the correct password has been entered. It holds a check value, no personal details, and expires after 30 days. It is strictly necessary for the access you requested (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We set no other cookies.

5. Contact by email

If you email us, we process your details to handle your request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the request aims at a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the data once it is no longer needed and no statutory retention duties apply.

6. Applications from companies

The application button leads to our application form at apply.unfairadvantage.capital. Only when you open and submit the form do we process the information you provide, such as name, contact details, company information, key figures, pitch deck and video link. Purpose: assessing a potential investment or partnership. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. The form is hosted by Vercel; answers are stored in our Google Workspace (Google Ireland Ltd.) and in our internal portal, whose database is run by Neon Inc. From the financial answers the portal calculates a points score by fixed rules; it only helps us order applications, and a person decides on each one. All of these providers, and Anthropic for Claude (see Section 7), act as our processors. We treat the information as confidential and delete it once the assessment is complete and no further talks follow, unless statutory retention duties apply.

7. Job applications

We receive applications through our careers site at careers.unfairadvantage.capital or by email. Through the form we process your name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn link, CV as PDF and your answers to two open questions (what you have built, launched or achieved, and how you work). Only the people at our company responsible for hiring see them, after signing in to our internal portal. A person who sees your full application decides on each one.

Purpose: deciding on an employment relationship. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures). The careers site and uploaded CVs are hosted and stored by Vercel Inc., the other details in a database of Neon Inc. (USA). New applications are announced to us by an email sent through our Google Workspace (Google Ireland Ltd.) that contains only name, role and a link to the protected area. The people responsible for hiring may also use the AI assistant Claude by Anthropic to work with applications, for example to summarise them; Anthropic then processes the data on our behalf and does not use it to train its models. All of these providers process the data on our behalf under Art. 28 GDPR; transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision and, in addition, standard contractual clauses.

If no cooperation results, we delete the documents no later than six months after the process ends. If you agreed in the form that we may keep your application for future roles (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), we keep it longer until you withdraw that consent; an email to the address above is enough.

8. Creator Network and external links

The Creator Network section shows publicly visible profile pictures and account names of people and brands in our network. The images are served from our own hosting; loading the page sends no data to Instagram. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If you do not wish to be shown, write to the address above and we will remove the entry without delay. Only when you click a profile does Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) open; the respective provider is responsible for processing there.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Cyprus (dataprotection.gov.cy).

10. No automated decision-making

No decision is based solely on automated processing (Art. 22 GDPR). The points score for applications (Sections 6 and 7) only orders them; a person always decides. Providing personal data is voluntary; without it we cannot handle requests and applications.
